Over 100 years ago Zonta International was founded. Today there are more than 30,000 members in over 67 countries and some 1200 local clubs that work to empower women and girls through service and advocacy. Our local Blue Mountains Club is a welcoming and energetic group that gives practical support to women and girls both here and globally. We do this in a variety of ways, including: saying No to violence against women; advocating for women’s rights; awarding scholarships to girls and women needing support; packing birthing kits for women to reduce infant mortality in developing countries; making breast care cushions for breast cancer patients in the local area; supporting local Domestic Violence agencies and the women's refuge in practical ways; donating funds to empower women around the world including our neighbours in Papua New Guinea.
Z Clubs – Are you interested? We are!
Zonta clubs sponsor Z clubs, and provide students with the resources, information and guidance they need to improve the world around them. Z club students then plan, organize and participate in unique activities that give them hands-on experiences in improving the lives of others at both a local and international level.
We invite you to join this growing global movement of students working for gender equality and an end to violence against women and girls worldwide.
